Resurrection Rolls

Resurrection Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 8 large marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F on lightly greased baking sheet.
  2. Separate crescent rolls into individual triangles.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Dip a marshmallow into melted butter and then roll in sugar mixture. Place marshmallow into the center of a crescent triangle. Carefully wrap the dough around the marshmallow. Pinch the seams together very tightly to seal in the marshmallow as it melts. Place on a baking sheet. Repeat.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  6. Makes Eight Resurrection Rolls
We usually double this recipe!  For those who celebrate Easter and the resurrection, break open the 'tomb' and show your kids that it is empty.  I found this recipe in blog land last year and my kids ask for these throughout the year.  In addition to the lesson, they are really good!

What are some of your traditions for Easter?

These are awesome! We'll be making them for sure. I know the kids will love them, as well as the idea behind them. Thanks for sharing.

Oh how perfect!!! I have all of these ingredients already and we are going to totally be making these at our house. Such a great recipe and such a wonderful opportunity to remind our kiddos once again that Easter is not about a bunny!

I love this. I used to make resurrection cookies with the girls when they were younger, and I had thought about making them this weekend.

This is a grown up version of the same idea. LOVE it and want to copy it.

I love it! I have never heard of that recipe before! Thanks for sharing! We are thinking about going to a special service about the death of Christ and the darkness that followed His death. We haven't heard of it before, but it sounds pretty neat. My parent's church will be doing a seder dinner/service much like the meal Jesus had with his disciples in the upper room on Passover. This will Thurs. and then the special service reguarding Christ's death on Friday. Sunday we will be celebrating His resurrection.

Christie what a wonderful idea! I think we should do everything we can to promote truths to our sweet little ones, and big ones too.
Have a very blessed Easter, dear friend!

Thank you for sharing this. I have followed your blog for a while, being a fellow South Carolinian (upper part of state)! We just got back today from a short trip to Charleston/Mt. Pleasant. Out of curiosity, where is your booth located. I visited a couple of antique/decor places in Mt. P. today.
